In Huger, South Carolina, Mustang Alley Ranch offers a pasture-style boarding experience that prioritizes your horse’s well-being and your peace of mind. We have a variety of configurations, depending on whether your horse enjoys their own space or thrives in a small herd.

Embracing a more natural approach, we believe horses are healthiest when they can live as nature intended—roaming freely in open spaces, grazing on lush grass, and socializing with their neighbors. Studies from the American Association of Equine Practitioners state that horses in natural environments experience less stress, fewer digestive issues like colic, and improved joint health compared to those confined in stalls. Our horses enjoy ample room for moving around as they please to promote their physical health, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being.

Centaur Flex-Fencing

We prioritize each horse’s safety and your peace of mind with Centaur Flex-Fencing surrounding all pastures and arenas. This innovative, high-tensile fencing is designed to flex upon impact, significantly reducing the risk of injury to your horse while maintaining a strong, secure perimeter with up to 4,200 lbs of break strength per rail.

Unlike traditional wood or wire, Centaur Flex-Fencing won’t splinter, rot, rust, or crack, ensuring low maintenance and long-lasting durability even in extreme temperatures. Veterinarian-approved and crafted with a polymer coating to prevent cuts and abrasions, this fencing provides a safer environment for your horse and minimizes liability concerns within our boarding community.

Premier Riding Arenas

Our facility boasts two expansive riding arenas (210' x 140' and 140' x 80') and a 40' round pen, designed to elevate your training and riding experience. The larger arena offers ample space for jumping or reining, while the smaller arena is perfect for dressage or focused schooling. Both feature well-maintained footing to ensure optimal traction and safety for your horse. The 40' round pen is ideal for groundwork, lunging, or starting young horses, providing a safe, enclosed space for precise training. These versatile amenities cater to riders of all levels and boarders seeking exceptional training environments.

We are excited to announce that we are currently developing a comprehensive lesson program for both English and Western disciplines, and will soon offer riding lessons with highly skilled instructors to enhance your equestrian journey.

Tailored Care for Your Horse

We know horses are unique, which is why we offer a range of services to customize their care. We have both private and shared pastures available, depending on your horse's social needs. Should a horse ever require rest & recovery, shelters are easily transformed into 3-sided 12' x 12' stalls with a gate for temporary confinement.

To keep our prices fair for all boarders, and since every horse has different nutritional requirements, boarders provide their own horse's desired hay & grain (or we'll pick it up for you from Cainhoy Feed). We have ample room to securely store everything & will feed precisely to your specifications.

Independent Board: $600 - we provide a grassy pasture, daily wellness checks, 24/7 access to custom shelters, automatic waterers, unlimited use of our 2 large riding arenas, round pen, covered wash station, and bridle paths. All feeding & necessary care are provided by the boarder.

Essential Board: $800 - we provide a grassy pasture, daily wellness checks, 24/7 access to custom shelters, automatic waterers, unlimited use of our 2 large riding arenas, round pen, covered wash station, bridle paths, plus:
- Hay feedings - 2x per day
- Grain feedings - 2x per day
- Farrier / Vet holding
- Free-choice salt block
- Private tack locker
- Trailer parking

Comprehensive Board: $950 - we provide a grassy pasture, daily wellness checks, 24/7 access to custom shelters, automatic waterers, unlimited use of our 2 large riding arenas, round pen, covered wash station, bridle paths, plus:
- Hay feedings - 2x per day
- Grain feedings - 2x per day
- Farrier / Vet holding
- Routine mucking/cleaning
- Supplement administration
- Blanketing & Fly-sheet changes
- Weekly grooming
