Welcome to Mustang Alley Ranch, a family-run sanctuary nestled against the tranquil Francis Marion National Forest in Huger, South Carolina. Just a short drive from historic Charleston, the heart of the Lowcountry, our farm is a haven where animals thrive and families connect.
OUR STORY
Our journey is one of love, dreams, and a deep bond with the outdoors. John grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, where his free time was spent fishing the French Broad River and soaking in views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Jackie, who lived in Maryland and has been riding horses since she was 7, always envisioned a farm teeming with animals. After 15 years of friendship, we started a family and had dreams of raising our children closer to nature. In 2015, we traded city life for the open spaces of the South Carolina countryside. Here, we founded Trifecta Botanicals, a thriving business crafting medicinal herbs, natural remedies, and herbal pet treats. After years of enjoying dressage and hunter-jumper disciplines on her horses, Jackie spent 2 years completing an Equine Management program at Global Equine Academy. This knowledge equipped her to provide optimal care for our horses and those entrusted to us. Mustang Alley Ranch became our next chapter—a place to nurture animals and share our hospitality with the community.
OUR FARM
Backed by the untouched beauty of the forest, Mustang Alley is a vibrant homestead where peace meets the joyful bustle of farm life. Our family residence hums with the chatter of chickens, ducks, mini donkeys, horses, goats, gentle sheep, turkeys, purring cats, loyal Great Pyrenees, and our cherished lop-eared rabbits. Our son Gage is often spotted toting a chicken under his arm, while our daughter Briella loves snuggling Holland Lops in their designated bunny village. Our fields and gardens thrive with sustainable, organic practices— chemical pesticides are not welcome here. From the golden glow of sunset over the forest to the laughter of friends at weekend cookouts, the farm is a place where tranquility meets connection. It’s a space where kids run free, animals roam happily, and the Lowcountry’s natural beauty shines. With two spacious arenas underway and miles of scenic trails nearby, the farm is a paradise for horse lovers in need of a welcoming escape.
OUR MISSION
At Mustang Alley Ranch, our mission is to provide a serene setting where neighbors can board and bond with their horses. We’re committed to sustainable practices, ensuring our land and animals flourish for generations. Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to expand our vision: soon, we’ll offer horseback riding lessons, host equine events like clinics and seminars, and create a unique space for RV campers to relax with their horses overnight before hitting the Palmetto State's trails. Whether you’re a local seeking a peaceful stable or a traveler exploring the region, our farm is a place to connect—with nature, horses, and the community.
